PROF. DR. IŞIL BAYTOK

Mrs. Işıl Baytok has graduated from Ankara College and Ankara University Faculty of Law. She has worked at the Ministry of Tourism as Attorney and as Assistant Manager in the Expropriation Department (1972−1976), at Tourism Bank of Turkey as Secretary to the Board, Attorney, Deputy General Counsel (1976−1985), Consultant to Chairman (1985−1988), on her sabbatical she studied at The American University in Washington D.C, USA with the Fulbright Scholarship (Humphrey Fellow) while she has worked at the World Bank as a Consultant (1988−1989). Upon her return, she worked as the Manager of Istanbul Securities Center (1990−1994) at the Development Bank of Turkey . Mrs. Baytok then worked at the First National Bank of Boston (which then became Oyakbank and now Ing Bank) as Legal and Capital Markets Coordinator (1994−1997), as the General Manager of Oyak Portfolio Management Company (1997−2000), and as the Legal Director in Coca-Cola Beverage Company (2002−2007) while the company was restructured with an acquisition, followed by an IPO and Merger. Since 2010 she works as an Off Counsel at the B+B Law Firm. Mrs. Baytok specializes in Banking and Capital Markets Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, IPOs, and Foreign Investments and Associations Law. Mrs. Baytok contributed to many major civil society organisations, mainly the Turkish Economic Law Research Foundation at all levels for almost 30 years, she was an Advisory Board Member of The American and International Law Academy at Dallas, Texas where she is an alumna. She served as an Executive Committee Member of the Foreign Relations Center at the Istanbul Bar Association organising an international conference. Since 2013 she is working as the Legal Advisor for the British Chamber of Commerce (BCCT). She taught at the Boğaziçi University Tourism Management School for four years and since 2018 she is teaching “Introduction to Law” at the Ozyegin University Hoteliers and Gastronomy and Culinary Art Faculty as a part-time lecturer. Currently she serves as the Auditor of the Fulbright Alumni Association.

He received his Film Directing education in Seattle WA, USA, with a Fulbright scholarship. The Novartis commercial, which he produced and directed, received the "Best Commercial Film" award at the Felis Awards in 2017. He shot the award-winning documentary series "One World of Life", broadcast on TRT Belgesel, about extraordinary human stories from four continents of the world. The director, who shot advertisements and photographs for brands such as Turkish Airlines, Petrol Ofisi, Koton, Motul, Pantane, Muzaffer ÇAHA, Mapfree Sigorta, also took part in the Turkish shootings of foreign productions such as NETFLIX USA Rise of Empires: Ottoman and Sony Pictures Sniper El Senor De Los Cielos. taken. He continues to work on commercials, documentaries and feature films.
